Larry Wenger
Larry is the founder and President of Workforce Performance Group. He has spent the last 40 years in the management of human service organizations. His work has spanned both public and private sector organizations in child welfare, juvenile justice, developmental disabilities and behavioral health. He has specialized in assisting organizations approaching programmatic and fiscal collapse as well as organizations undergoing major growth and expansion. His work has taken him throughout the U.S., Canada and Central America.
Most recently, Larry was the Associate Executive Director of Catholic Charities, Diocese of Metuchen, NJ, where he managed all program operations for this $50 million organization. Formerly he was Executive Director of the Center for Innovative Family Achievements, Superintendent of the Mercer Co. Youth Detention Center and Director of Program Development and President of TSMH Corp. for Covenant House, NYC. Larry has also served as Director of Program Evaluation and Assistant Hospital Administrator for the New Jersey Department of Human Services. He is a certified faculty member for the University of Phoenix and is a frequent consultant for HomeFront, Inc.
Educated as a social worker, he holds an MSW from the University of Kansas and BA from Goshen College. In 2004 he incorporated Foundations for Community Programs which now operates as Workforce Performance Group, dedicated to the development of front line managers and supervisors.
Annie Lachs
Annie is Vice President and Principal Consultant at Workforce Performance Group. A veteran administrator, with top executive experience in large mental health, developmental disabilities, education and child care organizations based in NJ and Massachusetts. She specializes in team building, communication, running effective meetings, leadership development, strategic planning and management coaching.
Annie has more than 38 years of experience in human service management. She was the Director of Communication for Catholic Charities, Diocese of Metuchen, NJ, served as the Executive Director of Summit Child Care Centers; the Associate Executive Director at the Association of Mental Health Agencies in NJ; a director for the Carrier Clinic and the Executive Director of the Association for the Advancement of Mental Health or Princeton, NJ. She has managed organizations with budgets as large as $9 million with staff as large as 300 in addition to being part of the Executive Team of a $50 million organization. She has worked for various state agencies including the Massachusetts Office for Children. She also served as a consultant evaluator for a special education collaborative for 13 school systems.
A passion for teams, Lachs has introduced the concepts of team building and team based operations in 3 organizations in addition to other consultant assignments. She created and launcehed Corporate Care Consulting Services to serve corporations that include AT&T, Lucent Technology, CIBA Geigy, Overlook Medical Center, St. Peters University Medical Center, Morristown Memorial Hospital, PSE&G and other leading NJ corporations. She was a principal consultant for Neville Porter.
Lachs held seats on numerous statewide boards and task forces both as a member and officer. She has a Master's in Education from American International University, Post Baccalaureate Diploma in NonProfit Management from Adelphi University and was a Doctoral Candidate in Leadership from Nova University. She has recieved numerous awards and has participated in state and local Boards and has presented a various conferences. She is currently a member of the Middlesex County Mental Health Board and the Board of Directors at Coordinated Family Care in Edison, NJ.
